A few months ago, I had the pleasure of creating two Australian Galahs from Y and T’s bridal bouquet – a motif that holds a deeper meaning for the couple. For the feathers of the wings, I had to carefully cut out the shapes of individual blossoms. In addition to watercolors, I also used colored pencils this time – a medium I’ve been turning to more often, since it allows me to capture even the tiniest details more beautifully. Revealing my first international bridal bouquet artwork! ♥♥♥ When wedding planner Sandra Maureder @gettingmarriedinaustria reached out to me and asked if it might be possible to send a bridal bouquet artwork all the way from Vienna to Australia, I was honestly speechless. Australia is known for having some of the strictest customs regulations in the world when it comes to importing organic materials like plant parts – dried or not. But really, what would life be without a challenge? And this was one I was more than happy to take on. After hours of research, I realized: yes, it could work – but only under very strict conditions. Every single plant part had to be documented in detail, and only certain ones would even be allowed. Long story short: this artwork probably became the very first one in Austria to ever receive a phytosanitary certificate. And while there were still a few bureaucratic hurdles left to clear, in the end the happy couple was able to receive their bridal bouquet artwork at home in Australia. Ein Portrait der Braut - handgemalt mit Aquarell auf hochwertigem Büttenpapier: Die konservierten Blumen ihres Brautstraußes wurden als Blumenkrone in ihr Haar verarbeitet. Danke an das Styled Shooting Team von @ajr_weddingarchitect_tirol , dass aus eurem Brautstrauß mal etwas ganz neues zaubern durfte! So entsteht ein Brautstrauß-Kunstwerk bei mir: 1. Dein Strauß kommt zu mir und wird fachkundig gepresst und konserviert. 2. Nach mehreren Monaten bekommst du einen Designvorschlag basierend auf deinen Wünschen. Wenn du keine hast, überlege ich mir etwas! 3. Zuerst male ich mit Aquarell und Farbstiften die Illustrationen. 4. Anschließend fixiere ich die Blüten und Blätter deines Straußes am Papier. 5.
